Fall Small Ball Program:
I am pleased to announce we have secured gym time for a Fall Small Ball session, registration will be up here Sunday, Oct. 15. The program will start Oct. 28, and run Saturdays, 9:30 – 11:00, for 6 weeks.

Note you will be registering for Team Sorts, fee $25.00, ages U12 and older. Once “Sorts” (player and team evaluations U12 and older) are complete, we will organize both competitive and recreational programs based on player skill sets and numbers. We do attempt to balance rosters for recreational teams. Warriors Basketball always attempts to provide programming for all registered participants.
U10 Programs will begin with a four week Fundamentals Program before forming into team groups.
The season typically runs from September to March for U10 and U12 teams and as late April to early May for older teams.

Once players have been placed on a roster you will be invoiced for the team fee (see below for fees).

U10 Boys, (Born 2014 or later, 8 & 9 year old (yo) )*. Due to interest we have added another team to the U10 Boys program and still have a couple of player spots available. For information purposes; This program will start Thursday Sept. 14, 6:00 to 7:30 at NGDHS. Note the 4 weeks of Fundamentals Program will run on Thursday nights, we anticipate running three U10 Boys teams, one of these teams will practice Tuesdays and two will practice Thursdays.
U10 Girls, is now full, to be put on the waitlist email; registrar@kemptvillewarriors.ca (Born 2014 or later, 8 & 9 year old (yo) )*. Younger players will be considered if space permits.
U12 Boys, (Born 2012 or later, 10 & 11 yo)*.
U12 Girls, (Born 2012 or later, 10 & 11 yo)*.
U14 Boys, (Born 20010 or later, 12 & 13 yo)*.
U14 Girls, (Born 2010 or later, 12 & 13 yo)*.
U17 Girls, (Born 2007 or later 15 & 16 yo)*.
U15/U16/U17 Boys (Born 2007 or later, 16 yo and younger)*.
Please note all programs are subject to gym availability and player spots. If player spots are limited for recreational/developmental programs, participation will be based on those first to register.
2023/2024 Fees:
– Fees** for recreational programs: U10 $250, U12 – U14 $325, U16 and older $430.
– Fees** for competitive programs: U12 $425, U14 and older $525.
Practices are twice a week in Kemptville. Times for our U10 & U12 teams is typically 6:00 to 7:30pm (90 min.) depending on the gym and night. Some gym permits in the public schools (smaller gyms that we usually use for rec teams) don’t start until 6:30, with 75 min practices, to allow for two teams to get floor time. Older teams U14 and up usually practice from 7:30 to 9:00pm. If gym availablity is limited recreational teams may only practice once a week.
For competitive teams games are scheduled through the EOBC (Eastern Ontario Basketball Committee, formally the EOBA) central scheduler and are typically tri-meets, three teams each playing two games in a four-hour time slot, usually twice a month on weekends. There may be some weeknight games but for U12 teams outside of Ottawa this is not the norm. Tournaments outside of league play are at the “team’s discretion” and the club covers the registration fee for up to three a year; travel expenses are covered by the player’s family. “Team’s discretion” means coaches and parents determine what, if any, tournaments a team wants to attend. The season runs until March possibly through May. Older ages tend to play later into the spring, with practices starting in Sept.
For recreational teams, practice is also in Kemptville and can be once or twice a week depending on gym availability. Games are played in the Stittsville area for U10, U12 and U14 teams, two games back-to-back on Saturdays every other week. U16 rec teams may play in Ottawa South or Nepean, one game every Saturday.
For competitive and rec teams no practises or games are usually held during school vacation periods.
Team rosters are determined by “Sorts”, where we assess player skill levels and attempt to build balanced rosters for competitive and rec teams. Kemptville Warriors tries to accommodate all participants who have registered with the Club.

** All registration fees are subject to change if Warriors incur additional costs due to increased facility or referee fees. All fees include team league fees, selected tournaments and use of uniforms. A uniform deposit of $150 is required for competitive teams and $50 for recreational teams. The deposit is returned when the uniform is returned in good condition at the end of the season.
